Did you eat and drink enough? It was a very warm day. I would have drunk about three 750 mL bottles on a ride like that, with food and extra drinks at the cafe stop.

Yes i forced about three bottles of water downxx( and i took some sandwiches and biscuits, though i didn't eat them all. I also had a burger and salad at the tea time stop in Settle. Someone gave me a bar of chocolate to eat when they noticed i was flagging. Eating melted milk chocolate on a hot day while riding takes some effort! Eating big meals doesn't come easy for me, compared to some of the riders who wolfed down stuff at every opportunity!:hungry:

Forsake the chocolate and go for sturdier sweeties: coconut ice, fudge, crystallised ginger, jelly babies, licquorice(?) allsorts...

I find it surprisingly difficult to eat sandwiches at the lunch stop of a long ride. An omlette, salad and chips on the other hand... :hungry:

It's 10 miles and back to the meeting place from here so that'll total 95 miles. I can't do all those miles without rounding it up to a hundred, so i'll have to do a detour on the way home.:heat: Plenty of butties, coffee, water, biscuits, clothes packed into my saddlebag today!:okay: Should i take overshoes i wonder? Rain is forecast for later so maybe yes?!

We only managed 60 miles. One of the groups Sturmey Archer gear hub thingy went kaput so we cut the ride short. I can't say i was bothered though, i was tired and welcomed the shortened trip!
