School "House names"

didn't have houses at either of my schools,

forms were done by the method of year followed by two initials denoting the form tutors name

my forms were: 7 MG (McGibbon) changing to be 8MG, 9MG until my form tutor got married and then twas 10CN (callahagn) and then a different form tutor for 11SN (simpson)

Our were all rivers. Houses didn't really matter until rugby/footy matches or sports day when lines were drawn in the sand and words and fisticuffs inevitably exchanged.

Rivers at ours too: Amber, Derwent, Erewash and Manifold. Bit dull really.

They were mine as well - but the school was founded in about 1964...
I was in blue.

The house names at my school are:
Tigers
Panthers
Wildcats
Lions
Which are all sporting team names of the teams around here.
The school houses used to be named after roads around the school, only one i remember my mum saying was Cavendish
Before the houses, it was just the years split up into groups.
In 6th form, we are just one big group of people

Would you beleive that infact, that house did have a little dance, and they would do the HSM dance in assemblies and when there was house comps. They were all very camp, and even a few of the guys dressed in cheerleading uniforms.
I was luckily not in that house.
