It could couldn't it? The story also has the elements of a Morrissey tune.

Ronaldo in a car crash,
I know I know,
It could be serious...

Or aren't sure who he is, or why anyone would care if he pranged his car....

I'm guessing 'footballer' and 'because if he strained his little finger, he'd have to sit out a load of games while still being overpaid'.

OK, I'll sod off now...

He's not overpaid. He gets the market rate for his work paid by millions of willing customers. Can you say that about your job?

That was certainly true of me when I worked in Norwich Union's IT dept. Especially the 'not overpaid' bit.

I'm with you.

I can't start to imagine a sensible scenario how to manage to crash a car in the tunnels.

He was being followed by his teammate in a Bentley (white fiat, more likely?) apparently, but then the police say 'no other cars were involved'...

I blame the papperazzi. Or is the Joke of Edinburgh a Liverpool supporter?

I believe debt is the main source of funds over the past few years rather than paying customers. The Glazers are paying as high as 12%.

It's the Smiths again... "hang the DJ, hang the DJ"

The 'overpaid' bit was true of me in Equifax's IT Department. At least, I thought so. I considered myself in league with the devil and it was blood money... oh the shame. I got over it... with therapy.

I can't say I've noticed them, anyway.

Ok, pedant boy, overpaid as far as I'm concerned.

He writes off a Ferrari and walks away, yet someone so much as brushes his shirt and he's on the floor writhing in agony!

Bear in mind, the replacement value of a single indicator lens is probably enough to make it a write off...
