Personally I wouldn't worry about 1cm, or even 2...much more than that & I might hesitate.

Went into Portswood Cycles yesterday.
Spoke to one of the guys, sorry, but what a muppet.
Told him I was looking for something second hand (having just seen a bargain second hand CB in another shop).."Nah mate, there's never any second hand road bikes around. Nobody gets rid of them."
He then showed me their range of road bikes, and told me I couldn't get anything decent for less than a grand, and proceeded to effectively slag off all the bikes they sold, picking faults with them and why I shouldn't be looking at anything less than a grand.
Christ knows where he thought that money was coming from seeing as I'd queried student discount..
Sorry, rant over, that guy just pissed me off. Shan't be going back!
