Might be beating a dead horse here, but I'd take a look at the new B'twin Triban 520 that's up at £479.99 or thereabouts, it's got the new Shimano Sora on it and is - in my humble opinion - a pretty good deal

i have lokked at it but the wheals on the planet x are better and it is 1 kg lighter

I would go for that deal. It's mostly 105, which is a fantastic groupset. Brakes are tektro, but to be honest, my wet weather bike has tektro brakes, and I put some swiss stop pads on it, so the braking is fine.
