How far can I go?

also do you think i should go for the tiagra as the size is also better for me, but is 50 pounds more

also most other websites say my height should get a 50cm frame so what should i go for.

I would say a 50cm might be too big for you if you are only 155cm (5'1"). I'm roughly 158cm, and both of my bikes are 45cm and 48cm respectively. I would think you would be more in that range.

Check the top tube length and have a ride, don't just rely on the manufacturer 'sizing' as there's no standard

I would give Planet X a call or better still if you are within a reasonable distance go in and sit on/test ride.
The model I posted at £499 looks as though the smallest size available is size small whereas the more expensive model is available in XS. At 155cm or 5' 1" you may need the XS.
Also is it worth getting the tiagra rather than sora (ignoring height)

You'll struggle getting a Planet X road bike small enough, they were too big for me and I'm 158. You'd be advised to go to the showroom and see if you can sit on one, thats if they have one in your size. They dont do test rides and you dont want to be in the position of having to return it.
But what size did you get?

This is worth looking at, a couple of smaller sizes available, 46cm & 49cm, women's specific frame so a shorter top tube, women's specific saddle, Tiagra shifters/derailleurs & Mavic wheels for £499!

None from there, I tried and XS RT58 and I couldnt stand over the top tube,it was too high, I've got a 29 inside leg as well.
I ride a 42 Surly Crosscheck and a 48 Cannondale Synapse.
Your best bet is to go somewhere local and reputable and get them to make some recommendations and try some out for size.

If I were a growing teenager I would risk getting a bike on the big side, you'll soon grow into it. I'd look again at the Planet X.
fine just part of my surname
Easy mistake
So you think i can get the plante x (xs)
And what about the merinda above
