Fill bowl C from bowl A. C know contains 3 litres.

Bowl B has 5 litre capacity but only has 3 litres of water in it.

Use bowl C (now holding 3 litres) to fill bowl B (requires 2 litres) leaving 1 litre in C.

It'll be light soon.....I can go for a ride!!

1. (Use 4 & 5 to get 2)

Fill 4, tip into 5, leaving room for 1 in 5. Fill 4, use 1 of that to fill rest of 5, leaving 3 in 4. Empty 5, tip 3 from 4 into 5, leaving room for 2 more. Fill 4, and use 2 from that to fill 5, leaving the desired 2, in 4!

2. (Use 4 & 3 to get 2)

Fill 3, tip into 4, leaving room for 1 more. Fill 3 again and use 1 of it to finish filling 4, leaving the desired 2, in 3!
