A Petri dish hosts a healthy colony of bacteria. Once a minute every bacterium divides into two. The colony was founded by a single cell at noon. At exactly 12:43 (43 minutes later) the Petri dish was half full.
At what time will the dish be full?

Doubles every minute - if it's half full at 12:43 ... it'll double the next minute filling up the dish, so ... 12:44

Fill bowl C from bowl A. C know contains 3 litres.

Bowl B has 5 litre capacity but only has 3 litres of water in it.

Use bowl C (now holding 3 litres) to fill bowl B (requires 2 litres) leaving 1 litre in C.
