I got 90th in the (total lack of) sprint after 24th in the scratch race. In the sprint I started fast and then just couldn't be bothered and just rode it tempo! I look forward to being able to do all 4 events, it's such fun.

Sounds good 🤞
Well done all on the races tonight
I have been shying away from them events as I know I will get a proper whooping
But sounds like fun so will try to join next time , had a little tootle tonight just to turn legs over
Can’t wait to see what this new version will feel like
Yeah it's good fun, I got absolutely whooped but hopping from one event to another keeps the interest going. I can see it becoming a regular fixture in the weeks activities. The crazy 'figure of 9' track was brilliant, seeing the lead peloton thundering across above you. The races without 'auto braking' felt much more realistic too, other races should consider switching that off till it's improved.

I think the auto braking is now the new version for all races. Yes Tuesday omnium will become a regular for me.

@keithaitch did well on the first stage, which proves that positioning, cornering technique and managing those sweet short respites well is more important than sprint power. Which is how it should be! I was doing my usual yoyoing and almost managed to catch keith in the sprint...but there you got your sprint win keith! Well deserved! I think we could as well have been top 10 both of us with a little luck and a better planned final 500...but them legs might disagree.

Yes, Unfortunately I am fully aware that even if I'm at the very pointy end even .5kms from the end of a race I'm going to get swallowed up by the guys (like you) who can put out twice the w/kg I can in a sprint in a race like last night. That said I am really enjoying the longer races too and learning how to judge my sprint and if I can do well from my group then that's success for me. I'm hoping the new physics can allow a break to go away more easily so I at least attempt something like what happened in last Sunday's race. Huge effort on the last or penultimate climb and hope to stay away with a couple of companions. Much like a spring classic in real life.

So can someone brief me on the Omnium format? What do you have to do and when is it on next?
Tuesday. 4 events. A 500m sprint or there abouts. An individual time trial with no drafting. A race on a circuit with bends and an elimination with Small laps and back marker put every lap. 4 fast and hard events.

the time trials are about 6kms...so short and fast...last one did have short segmenta of 6%+ uphills but generally quite flat.

Arrg...another rgt update...almost missed the start again. I have to deinstall and then reinstall. I really don't want to join the race 15 minutes before the race to make sure everything is sorted. Of course, don't get me wrong...the updates are good...but when I miss a ride because of it it sort of ruins the moment a bit. I have to find another routine obviously, that takes the update and other app issues into account.

Anyway, tried the ITT 40k today...a different experience but with 15 sec starting intervals it did offer something new. New is fun (but terribly hard)! There are some strong riders out there on the platform!
