Reading all the posts in this thread suggests to me that people interested enough in cycling to put their hands in their pockets are a very diverse selection of people.

I am glad people go mountain biking, gravel biking, commuting, racing and group cycling, campaigning, but I do none of those activities, and am confident that those who do don't know I exist.

I imagine it is relatively easy to extract money from a coherent group with shared interests, but less so from a variety of people who have different interests.

Tldr. People who ride bikes have different motivations that can't be fitted in one grouping.

I've liked your excellent post. But:
A number of the people here have at best "put their hand in their pocket" to buy cheap insurance.( Often so they can get access to a free event... )

Others have stopped since their discount was reduced.
Or stopped because members are no longer subsidising the events they enjoyed.

Others show an amazing (and specific) inability to research where their money goes/went.

Funny isn't it...

And others, like me will support anything that promotes cycling as normal transport and all it's other guises and specialities in the hope we as a nation catch up with so many others that see the multiple benefits of reducing choked cities and towns. I've never used or considered insurance, money off or buying the latest must have but happily pay for and receive a magazine that has my interests specifically. I may disagree with the way they go about doing some of it but it is better than nothing. Also sites such as the fabulous CC promote cycles and cycling in its many guises as do every one of us who pops down the supermarket, dons their lycra and plastic hat, cycles around the world or goes camping for the weekend. It's all better than doing nothing at all.

If you look above its there.
We’re committed to making cycling accessible to everyone, no matter their age, background or ability and, as the data from 2023/24 shows (page 18), our impact as a charity continues to grow. I’m proud to see that, in addition to our loyal 70,000 members, we’ve reached over 100,000 people with our community-based cycling programmes.

I was after the last few years, and actual numbers not approx. But no big deal.

@PhilipBenstead007, why do they feel the need for the rebrand after so short a time?

Maybe looking at the reasons they have for doing this will give them an idea of where and why the last rebrand failed. Also why many didn't renew their memberships last time.

Jon Snow stepped down as president of the CTC in 2020. Your edited, to include the piece on page 12, post shows how out if touch Cycling UK is.

Did JS step down, then dose CTC not know it?
