There's an opposite of "Déjà Vu " called " Jamais Vu " where frequent repetition of writing / saying the same word over and over will make the word become nonsense in our perception.

What, like 'Near Miss'?

Oh, no wait, that has not made any sense... Ever... But all you idiots still say it instead of ''Near Hit'.

Why the heck is wrong with you all?

LIverpool's Chinatown is the oldest in Europe. It can be dated to mid 1830s when 'we' started to bring silk and spices etc in. The Blue Funnel line employed lots of Chinese and many of them chose to stay.

There's quite a large Portugese community in Bournemouth.

On a similar theme there is large population of Korean's in New Malden, Surrey, such that Koreans make up circa 1/3 of the New Malden total population, and it also accounts for the vast majority of Koreans living in the UK.

This can be traced back to the old Racal Avionics business having a joint venture the Koreans in the 1950's which in turn led to the South Korean embassy being located their, and later Samsung set up their UK HQ there too.

I worked in New Malden at one point and was initially surprised to find Korea supermarkets etc, beforeI knew the above, but delighted to find Korean Sushi for lunch!

People with red hair actually have a higher pain tolerance on average than others. At least, that's what the studies have shown over the years. These studies looked at pain associated with stabbing, shocks, and sharp pains to determine whether redheads could handle more.
