I applied original Aramis to my face today, after I'd shaved. I must've had the bottle of the stuff for 3 years, having not used it for probably 2 years. It's nice and lasts long. So long that after 9 hours I still keep getting a whiff of it, which is maybe slightly annoying now! 🧐

Had a beard since 1967! Shaved it off for summer holidays. Sort of weird ritual

Haven't bothered since 1997 when I "retired".
Trim around the edges and keep it tidy. Use a Remington battery razor I bought on a father's day offer in Argos in 2005.
Prefer Bic single blade razors.

A question for those that use an alum block as well as moisturiser, how long do you wait between wiping over with the block and slapping the moisturiser on?

I know it might depend on how much time you've got available, before work in the morning and you might be a bit rushed, whilst if you've got all the time in the world and want to perfect the 1930s look like @Accy cyclist , then you can idle at leisure, especially as you've got to factor in waxing your moustache as well.

Near enough straight away,I rinse my face again after using the block and dry then moisturiser.

Smash the cistern
Shower - lather - out of shower - shave - alum - dry - deodorant - teeth - aftershave - hair - dress - coffee - breakfast - children - moisturise on my way out of the door if I remember

I used to use an alum block until I dropped it! I never got around to buying another.

Witch hazel works very well too.

Electric battery powered shaver for years.
At one time I had a beard which made me look 10 years older than I was but that was about 30 years ago.
Much easier than all that lathering and scraping nonsense.

I never got on with electric shavers. I have had few over the years but none gave me close shave.

I do have a small travel electric shaver I usually take when touring for handiness but I don't really like using it that much and it really does need to be used daily as it just can't cope with two days growth.

I do see a local shop has got Tabac shaving soap in stock so I might try that for a change.

It seems to me that the shaving area in any of the local shops has contracted to make space for all the beard-care products that the trendy people are using nowadays.

This is a "Real Man" shaving thread, so there should be no discussion of electric shavers, except to point out that they give a rubbish shave in comparison, and are somewhat effeminate.

In line with cyclechat equal opportunity policy, I feel that women should be allowed to contribute provided they are shaving their legs with a cut-throat or DE.

A year or so in I'm still happy with my electric and can't believe all the time I wasted and cuts I suffered in decades of farting around with blades, and don't understand why I never got one earlier.

Next thing you know I'll be trying bike with a non-steel frame.

Nah, that's an experimental step too far.
