Can't remember Caroline but have fond memories of holding a blue tranny (stop it) to my ear as a small kid snuggled under the sheets listening to Teenage Rampage by The Sweet on Radio Luxembourg. No wonder I used to fall asleep in junior school!

When we were broadcasting on AM, with 100W, we got reception reports from Scandinavia, italy and Ireland, when the atmospherics were right...

The Dutch web SDR mentioned above was picking up Aberdeen's Northside Sound on 1035khz well tonight. It reaches the north Norfolk coast well too.

It won't be the same. The original Caroline was a groundbreaking alternative to the Light Program on the Beeb, playing non stop pop music 24/7. This is just another commercial station with no connection to the original either in lineage or in spirit.

Well, somebody has to be a wet blanket, it might as well be me.

Not a wet blanket at all. It's quite a commonly held opinion and as valid as any :okay:

On the bright side, it won’t be full of Loving Awareness jingles.

Tests resumed at midnight on 648khz am after a 2 week gap. I was listening to the sodding cricket so missed the switch on! Still, sounding good here in north west Norfolk right now.
