So Strasser completed the 2965 miles in 7days12hrs at an average speed of 16.47mph.
Currently in second place is the Brit Mark Pattison who still has 460miles to go.
Top placed woman at the moment is Canada's Joan Deitchman at 1977 miles in 7days11hours. 11.03avg
Shusanah Pillinger is running currently 3rd at 1843miles in 7days6hours. 10.55avg

What a great event!...
That's a tough ride taking it easy but racing constantly...the mental games there must be where the race is won.
Personally I'd rather see more and take my time, but then Im not a racer or competitive on a bike, each to their own and hats off to these riders.
Having said that riding with full support vehicles etc has a lot to be said for it...the older I get the more I like that idea lol!

The last one was a mistake. Fixed.
Shusannah Phillinger is out, she crashed and broke her collarbone, poor lass. Reaching 2145 miles. Amazing effort though as it was her first RAAM.
Brit Mark Pattison came in second for the guys 9 days, 2 hours 50mins avg 13.8mph
Pippa's team are still motoring along. Now in 5th place in the team event. 2565miles 5days, 9hours, 26mins at avg 19.82mph

Fisnished 4th with a time of 6days10hours54minutes at an average of 19.5mph.
The leading team finished in a time of 5days21hours58minutes at an average of 21.27mph
In the Womens solo only 3 of the 5 riders finished.
