you can ofter identify the type of plane and their airspeed with an app like flightradar24

Interesting app but I think Accy wants to know what the stall speed of various aircraft is. :okay:

The slowest planes are those massive solar paneled planes with a man hanging below they can foay at about 30mph.

A microlight about 50mph.

A normal light aeroplane about 70-100 mph

A jet aeroplane 150mph.

Will the monarchy be disbanded now that the queen has gone ?

No.

There has been no official suggestion that it might be, and the processes are all in place for the succession.

The monarchy would only be disbanded if a government were elected on a manifesto to do so - and I think it very unlikely that any party with that in their manifesto could get elected in this country.

I was in a pub the other day, on the menu

Plate of chips....£2.00
Plate of Salt and Pepper Chips...£4.00

So couldn't you just order a plate of chips for £2.00 and put salt and pepper on them?

S&P chips usually have chilli pepper on them (and onion), rather than ground black pepper... so they have to chop the pepper, chop the onion, transfer the almost cooked chips to a wok and toss them about in the chopped vegs for a few minutes whilst throwing on a copious amount of salt... but saying that, S&P chips are bit over priced for what they are. but then again so is a bag of chips... 20p in my day... blah blah blah

I heard the sound of a small aeroplane today. On looking up at the sky it looked like it had one engine, not two. It didn't seem to be going fast. In fact it was moving quite slowly. My thoughts were what is the minimum speed an aeroplane must travel at to keep it in the air? 🤔

I remember watching a mahoosive Hercules flying overhead... it appeared to be going so slowly i couldn't fathom how it was staying up.

Many years ago, when I was young and brave, I took flying lessons. We also had classes on the theory of flight and although - being a physicist - in theory I should've known a lot of those basics, the application and demonstration in practice, both in examples on the blackboard and later actually in flight, really did hammer it all home!
Fascinating stuff - and not anything like as difficult to understand as you might imagine if you don't already have a useful background if - and I emphasise if - you can find a well-written book about it which doesn't use too much jargon, or at least explains the jargon.

Nope - we're stuck with King Charles the Adulterer. Question - if Charles is the adulterer, who was adulterated? Diane or Camilla?

Always willing to learn, so I'd like to know if when ending a sentence with a question mark, or a exclamation mark, do you put a full stop after both, or not? I don't do, but wonder if I should. I think a ?. or a !. looks odd.🤔
