You say you want performance, donā€™t quite know what you mean but if it means going faster you should be fine with a double something like 50/34. If you want an extra low gear you could put a 12/34 on the back.
If saving weight is important get a Hollowtech crankset instead of a square taper.
Performance and ride quality will be governed more by your wheel/tyre choice.

Out of curiosity I once weighed a Campy Nouvo Record, an Avocet, a Sugino RD, a couple of cheap 130 BCD cranks and a one piece Brompton crank set. The only real weight variation was the Brompton which was a lot lighter. I would hope the first 3 would differ from the cheap ones in their strength and the toughness of the threads and square taper surfaces. I like your bike plain white. Simple and elegant. Just sayin.
