Poster idea

I came across this poster and I wondered if this type of poster would make a difference here.

Inspired by this, I spent 10 minutes or so producing this work of art. Do you think a poster like this would make a difference (with a better looking model of course!

(It was the only picture I had with a cyclist at the right angle!)

I like the idea, I don't see it doing any harm. Maybe a different slogan but the concept is sound.

Rather than saying 'if I fall' you could use something more realistic like dodging a pothole or puddle. If I miss this will you miss me? Maybe shown from the front with vertical lines showing the bike, edge of the hole and edge of the car behind. Yip, it's a good idea.

I like that. It works on two levels. How about changing the wording so at the top it says:

If I hit this, will you miss me?

At the bottom:

If you don't, I know my kids will.
It's time to go green.

It gets you thinking and so is more likely to be remembered. Also it would bring in the human angle....

Who's the handsome bloke on the bike following you ?:biggrin::biggrin:

I wondered when you'd notice!

I don't know who he is, but he's on a much faster bike, and yet he is behind me.....:biggrin:

That's why I liked it. It has several connotations.

Spray tans are illegal in Scotland. Something to do with the SNP?

No spray tans are a no go, unless you want to look like a member x-member of the socialist workers party!

And on a more serious note, the idea's a good'n, but how do you propose to reach the audience - I'm guessing backs of buses might be a good place to start, given your contacts. Also, how about petrol pump advertising? Anyone have any idea how much this costs though?

As for the graphic design - don't give up the day job.

Hey, it only took me 10 minutes, using word!

I haven't thought that far! I just thought I would play about with the idea and see what people on here thought. The Give Cyclists Room campaign wasn't very eye catching, and didn't have a human element in it, so I wondered how it could be improved.

Maybe if we get something reasonable, we could take it to the CTC. Any thoughts?

I've attached the latest version.
