My mutt Jake yesterday in my neighbour's flat. 'Mia' the cat kept a beady eye on him and she wasn't too happy when she saw her cat nibbles being eaten by a dog.

R.I.P Mia

Aw, sad news from my neighbour the other day. Mia had to go to that big cattery in the sky. She'd been struggling to walk and was off her food. My neighbour told me the vet said euthanasia was the kindest thing, as with her being 20 years old, there wasn't much they could do for her. Is 20 a good age for a pedigree like Mia the Ragdoll?

20 is a very good innings for any domestic cat - 14 is the average.

Meet Carrot. A ferral cat gave birth to five kittens in my neighbour's shed and she is the only remaining one. Two wandered off when they were really young and a tom cat killed a third. The mother cat returned when the other kittens were about four months old and one went off with her. Carrot chased her away when she came back a second time. She's already bigger than her mother and if her father is who I think he is then she is going to be absolutely massive. If you're wondering why my neighbours named a striped tabby 'Carrot' then it's Arabic. I must ask them what it means some time.

My cat Barney likes to sleep in the litter tray when its been cleaned out. Thankfully he doesn't do it after he's used it though..

Digby, now around 2.5 years old at Hunstanton today, far far too interested in other dogs. He's a bit of a mare, strong, utterly focused on other dogs but overfriendly which makes him a bit of a brute to handle. You could never let him off lead, no way. But a good day, summy, had a leap around in the sea (Digby not me)...now spark out (Digby not ne)
