Good call. I'd forgotten all about them, fortunately. Definitely with The Smiths!

I'm off to see Yes play Relayer in its entirety soon, really looking forward to it, a truly fantastic album.

Re the couple of posts above, The Cure's Seventeen Seconds and Faith were good but that's about it. The Smiths did one good song ( How Soon Is Now in case you were wondering), my sister likes them though.

Anyway, after listening to a Yes tribute band play Sound Chaser and The Gates of Delerium on YouTube I've now got some Föllakzoid on, they're not 70's or 80's though so perhaps I shouldn't mention them in this thread.

Wow, Jonesy on this thread, I always considered as one of the more intelligent contributers before politcal correctness took over,

There's lots of old timers no longer here that are missed.

My sister had the first few Yes albums. I thought that they were pretty good...

Yes? YES!

So, I bought a ticket to go and see them at Bingley Hall, Stafford in 1977...

But before I could go to that, I discovered punk rock...

So... Yes? NO!!!!!!!!!!!!

I ripped up my ticket and binned it. My mate's girlfriend retrieved the pieces, Sellotaped them back together, and went in my place!

I saw Yes in 2021. Booked them at RAH and then covid postponed it. Booked Queen at the O2 while waiting for the new date. I was able to cancel RHA and booked another date on their tour at Nottingham. I wasn't impressed with them.
Went to the second of Rick Wakeman's dates at The Palladium last week. Yes songs in the first half and Journey To The Centre Of The Earth in the second. He was great.
