Personalised number plates

I once had a white with red stripe Austin A60 DVD 800. Bought it from a dealer with no regard to the number but later discovered there were 2 other identical cars DVD400 and DVD600. Never bothered to find out why there were 3 of them.

I used to drive an Audi 100 estate car which was an ex demonstrater with the Reg L100 EST . I couldn't go anywhere without someone spotting it . When I sold the car I was asked if I wanted to keep it but it was personal to the car not me so let it go with the car . Did see it around for a few years
