No. If it's a "fine fragrance"(not a cheap one like a fiver a bottle) it'll last years. I found a bottle of Aramis the other month that was a 21st present to me, so it was 34 years old! It smelt ok.

I have some Avon, brought over from the US by my relatives when I was a teenager, never opened, that's about 34 years old too.

That is one scent that I really dislike (possibly because people have a habit of wearing half a bottle).

Yes, for some reason whoever wears the stuff feels the need to overdose on it. It's a very potent fragrance so only a little is needed. If someone passes me wearing it i think oh no not that horrible stuff again!!xx(

Ooh, I have some Fahrenheit too, it's still in the box and must be at least a decade old, does it go off?
Eventually it will change in smell, but if it's been kept cool and dry and out of sunlight, a good quality one like Fahrenheit will probably still not be too bad even after a decade.

I've been using Aramis (the original) for over 40 years:

all the other stuff smells too 'girly' to me ...

Nivea Face Balm is about all I can stand and a decent low fragrance roll on deodorant, I hate with a passion most perfumes and aftershaves. I cannot get anywhere near a cosmetics department in Boots without breaking out in a cold sweat at the thought of what it is about to do to my sinuses

I don't tend to bother. I've got a few bottles of stuff that people have bought me over the years.

I don't know if it's the strength or the fragrance, but some perfumes give me an instant headache.

I have to be careful because my workplace has a number of people who have fragrance allergies or sensitivities. So I tend not to wear anything at work.

But I do love some things, particularly the more old-fashioned scents. My favourites are probably Dior's original 'Eau Sauvage' (in summer), Caron's 'Le Troisieme Homme', Guerlain's 'Vetiver', Dunhill's 'Edition' (a very 'barbershop' scent in the best possible way) and Van Cleef and Arpels' 'Tsar'. Of modern scents, I do like Amouage's 'Jubilation XXV', but it's too expensive to use very often... I also have a liking for the original formulation of 'Tabac', one of those surprisingly good cheap scents.

Very considerate @Flying_Monkey it can be very intrusive when people wear excessive amounts of the stuff. Can even give you a headache.

Edit: just seen your post @marknotgeorge .
I used to have a drama mistress at school who smoked. She would literally drench herself in Dior's Poison. If she was at the top of the tower block at school, you could tell she had gone up the stairs by the perfume smell she left in her wake.
