Yup - that sylph-like () figure is none other than goo_mason - on the look-out for Cake. :hungry:

He found it, too, generously provided by the lovely Telemark and the (even more ) lovely Mrs Scoosh, as can be seen here :

Not shown, as too busy eating CAKE :hungry: : goo_mason

Although he got separated from us, Chapeau to Brandane, who came up from Largs for this ride :bravo:.

You're all wearing your CC jerseys, how did I manage to miss you?!

Haven't developed the 'CC Nose' for CAKE :hungry: ?

We did have one unknown guy wander up to our wee group and hang around, so we started chatting to him, offered him some cake, then he wandered off .....

Each of us then asked : 'who was that ? did you know him ?' ^_^

AND THERE WAS CAKE?!

I've managed to find myself in quite a number of photos taken throughout the day. Watching the POPScotland Flickr group slideshow was brilliant!

One of my many favourite memories of the day happened just as we set off from Leith and were pedalling along past the Port 'O Leith bar. One of the gathered drunks standing outside screamed that old classic, "YA BUNCH O' FANNIES!!!!!!" which had me in kinks laughing. Priceless!

Not to mention @stepdoran's co-pilot, wee Rose (who must have been about three), who entertained me on the feeder ride with her non-stop singing and hysterical giggling when we went over cobbles.

It was such a great day. Wish we could do it every sunny Saturday.

I have to say the CC jerseys really do stand out in a crowd
It probably also helped that the 2 wearers present at PoP are above average height

Goo ... a bit of a come down after PoP obviously, but there is the odd CC Ecosse ride you could join ...

And STV Edinburgh have done a sterling job - nice write-up and a great video piece! http://local.stv.tv/edinburgh/magaz...all-corners-of-scotland-to-reclaim-the-roads/

Been told that I'd photobombed quite a few of the shots taken by STV on the day. Had a look and thankfully they caught my good side in this one:

and here, just behind the *ahem* bobby's helmet, talking to Lynne McNicholl, stepmother of the Edinburgh cyclist Andrew, killed in January:

and they also caught Scoosh, looking fetching in his colourful cycling cap:

not to mention our old pal Magnatom:

Anyone else spotted themselves in STV's pictures?

I've written a wee song so celebrate / publicise the event. Please like, share and tweet if you enjoy it and help get the message out. Thanks to magnatom, gaz and bentmikey for allowing me to use some of their clips in the video.

For your gratification ^_^: I had shared your wee song on my fb. Today I met a friend taht really liked it, she wants to know why she could not find it on ITunes to download it ....

I've spotted myself in quite a few of the Flickr photo collection ... luckily mostly from my "better side"

It is very noticeable on the photos just how many people have a smile on their face during the ride!

If you haven't spotted it yet, there is a short survey for those who took part in PoP on their website ...
collecting basic feedback to help the organisers, should they take on the mammoth task of any further events
:bravo:(That's a "yes please" from me!)

Hope all you CC Ecossers voted "bike" today in the local elections  ... they have been made to sit up and listen - apparently lots of correspondence has been received from their electorate :wahhey:

Tell her to check the description on youtube. It gives a link to my blog (http://www.philward.me.uk) where you can get a full MP3 and a ringtone.

It's not on iTunes because I'm a Linux geek and therefore don't DO Apple or Microsoft.

Interesting riders for me included:
  • Two chaps on a bike with a recumbent stoker at the front and the captain riding upright behind. The stoker was more into playing what looked like a guitar, but wasn't as it had a rounded back.

That is definitely a guitar. It's an Ovation. They tend to do rounded backs, and I find that more comfortable than the traditional sharp corners.
