Yet you are the one who suggested it?
I might have been joking. It's only a bit more barmy than thinking everyone should wear a polystyrene hat when going about their normal business.

But not when walking?

.... AGAIN, walking is inherently less dangerous simply due to it's nature!

Which is another point that you or another anti-helmet person has made.

I am however going to stop replying, simply because we are going around in circles because you cannot provide any new points other than "pedestrians should wear one" whilst not actually being able to provide any meaningful data.

Furthermore, this thread was simply about the new helmet design which is three times more effective, it is those who disagree with helmets that started it into a nine page long debate.

I haven't said that. Not because I don't grasp the point, but because the patient logic employed by Adrian and Cunobelin is entirely wasted. I'm prepared to believe that the paper helmet might be more effective that polystyrene helmets. I don't care overmuch about that, for the same reason that I don't care if someone invents a better spaghetti-server.

Not when you compare it to the effects of an airbag, and again if you READ my posts I have stated that:

"Yes a helmet might help, however the airbag in the case of a car would provide the same protection"

Yep - you are absolutely right - both airbags and helmets can exacerbate injuries and actually cause them
According to this idea, we should all sit in a concrete bunker wearing tin foil hats!

That does make me laugh,, especially as the tin foil hat would be as about effective as some cycle helmets in the conditions you advocate for them

By wearing a helmet you are preparing yourself if the event arises, you have to with all things, take both the advantages and disadvantages and make a reasonable, justified conclusion.

Which brings us back to the old question...why does this apply only to cyclists and not tho the groups where head injuries are more prevalent?

Why is it not worth protecting pedestrians?

Have I mentioned that taking the precaution of drinking five pints of Jaipur IPA saved my life the last time I fell off my bike?
Five pints???? Respect!!!!
I can't afford five pints of Jaipur, probably couldn't consume that much at one sitting, and would need the assistance of at least two relatively sober attendants even to mount my bike! Bet it's a very effective muscle relaxant, though.

Actually I'm not absolutely sure I fell off my bike. It's possible that I merely walked into a door. But I distinctly remember riding no-hands away from the pub, so the falling-off hypothesis seems plausible.

Totally wrong..... if you look at reality, the admission figures to Casualty departments the number of pedestrians is four to five times that of cyclists

You are missing the point entirely. NEITHER is a dangerous activity
How many hours per year are expended in the pursuit of cycling, how many hours per year are expended by pedestrians in the uk ?

Whilst here, why did you quote the snell b95 tests as being sufficient and then backtrack ?
