Are you sure? http://www.refina.co.uk/acatalog/masonrytyroleansprayunits.html I have seen it applied well with a airless sprayer as well.

I'd say he meant 14.2 liters which seems conservative to me as I imagine the old pebbledash will be very thirsty.

There is an easy way to find out, mark off a metre square and paint it, properly. a mist coat and two others should do the job well
