The Cortina is nice, & an unusual colour combination too
I see the very 70s addition of a rear-window ‘grille’/‘visor’

It's in Alan Mann Racing colours. As for the rear window...

I would have loved a Cortina 1600E in red bitd, but sadly was a skint teenager, the Escort is tidy too, we would have been on holiday in Skegness when they came out and the Ford dealership across the road were good enough to let me look round them and let me have a sales brochure with them all in, those Anglia’s were also ripe for making a bit faster too, I remember my Grandad having one, white with maroon between the chrome body strips, got written off, when parked up, someone hit it from behind at speed.

I had a Mk2 but sadly only a 1300, though I did put a 1600 engine in eventually. It lacked the Webber carb and improved rear suspension of the 1600E. Good reliable car and incredibly easy to work on. I did the engine swap on my own in the rain in an hour and a half when I stuck the 1600 in

I quite like the old Anglias. Ford could occasionally produce interesting cars.
Yeah, not a Ford fan, but in the 60's my father had a 93A, a 100E & then an Anglia, first cars I remember, I'd be happy with any of them, or the one I really do like is the Consul Classic

As a child I was fascinated by a neighbour's Ford V8 Pilot. It seemed rather exotic. My father at one time had a Mk2 Consul with go-slower wipers.

And I fluffed a potentially great photo of an E - Type being driven up Electric Brae but it was going pretty damn quickly and the moment had almost passed before I got the phone out of my pocket and a bit of my disintegrating phone case hung down over the lens!

Whilst it isn't my favourite car per se, it is arguably the most amazing looking car ever. I think Enzo Ferrari said similar and his cars are none too shabby looks

I forgot to mention a Morris Minor, seen the weekend before last somewhere in Lincolnshire. Nothing particularly usual you might think, except that this one was in full Panda-car livery - pale blue with 'POLICE' on the white doors and a roof-mounted sign-box with blue light on top. Just as I remember from the late 60s.

We saw quite a few other interesting cars but were on the motorbike so only managed the one photo. Others included a nice condition Ford Consul, Sunbeam Alpine sportscar, a 70s soft top Aston (Vantage maybe?), Triumph Stag, TR3a and TR6, and a very nice sign-written Austin van which had ladders on the roof so evidently in a working tradesman's vehicle despite also being a showpiece. There were also lots of vintage buses and tractors about so evidently a do of some sort, though many of the cars might just have been out for a Sunday run
