Just had my first collision..at least my first since starting cycling again.

Guess I don't bounce as well as I did at 16!

I've been concerned about a new pinch point on abbeydale road wolsley road junction being an added distraction and I. Was right.

Car that I hit was turning right across my path from opposite direction and did the clasic follow the other car.

Not badly hurt just a painfully swollen and stiff shoulder. Driver stopped and gave details as did a witness. Driver was an ex paramedics so cheched my collarbone.

Bike is cabbaged. Forks and wheel at least.

Could be worse no ambulance required.

Didn't have the cam on..doh!

GWS. Are you going to get a new bike out of it? I'm just looking for a silver lining.

As long as I breathe, I attack.
I know i am in the minority here but sod the bike , as long as you are ok then the rest is just "stuff "

I hope you heal well and have no further complications , and then get the CTC lawyers to scalp the driver !!

Tricky junction that one! I hope you are OK. Cabbaged bike is a bit of a bugger but at least you're here to tell the tale

I would be tempted to write to the council about your concerns and the fact that you have now been knocked off at that point. In the mean time ... hope you are not feeling too bad and recover quickly.

Sorry to hear about your bike... I'm glad that the driver at least stopped, though! A friend of mine (pedestrian here in the US where there aren't always sidewalks) was walking by the side of the road when a car clipped her arm and shattered it. the driver didn't even stop, and she was left paying for the medical expenses...

I'm glad that your guy actually had the decency to pull over. Hope you get better soon.
