Garibaldi biscuits are not actually biscuits. They are packers, used in the construction industry when installing double glazed windows. They were often found in the middle aisle in Aldi.

The Garibaldi was invented by a Milanese window fitter called Gary (a common Italian name) who of course was losing his hair. Subsequently the brand was bought by a discount German supermarket and renamed the GaribLidl
