The tyres are Vittoria Zaffiro (Bike: Defy 3), not sure if these are good or not (But looking online they appear to be cheap), could anyone recommend some tyres which aren't too expensive?
Isn't it a rule of thumb that a new bike comes with rubbish puncture-prone tyres? Should it be the first upgrade to consider?
I bought 2 x schwalbe marathon plus for about £40 which i dont think is too expensive.
It's not. I paid £69 for two mountain bike SMPs last week (bloody LBS's). Still think I got value for money though as I reckon they will save maybe 5 - 7 hours changing and patching inner tubes over their lifetime.
and they will survive a nuclear war by the feel of them!!!
Too true. Tough critters.
