it looks really thin and cheap from the photo. Is it a single speed specific ring? for a replacement I would check the thorn ones on sjs website. They are superb build, i have several and even at 3/32 they are chunky.
not sure the pcd on that but this might be it

also how much was the chainring? if it was cheap then it would definitely be crap quality, if it was expensive then it might still have been crap quality but just sold to you at a higher price.

£25, so not a huge amount. Was hard to find one(dont buy off the internet) that wasnt a huge amount and wasnt too cheap.
Wanted to spend more, but was hard to find one that costed more.

£25 should get you a good quality chainring. Was it £25 for chainring and cranks too?
single speed specific should have longer pointier teeth and and none of those little ramp pins or indentations that regular chainrings have to help the chain shift.

Sorry was that a bit shouty?

:biggrin::laugh:
What was that Mickle?
My dad did say the same thing though, that it shouldnt just bend over like that.
It doesnt have any of the indentations thats on the double chain ring on the Giant. It was the cranks and chainring that was £25. It had a chain guard which was taken off :biggrin:

Ooooo, which one do you have at the moment Bonj?

an old one, dunno what brand - probably nothing special.
although probably alright apart from the fact that the right pedal is currently stuck on it... but i am reliably informed that with a vice and a piece of pipe it could be removed...
the bottom bracket has slight play in it, hardly any, but it's a square taper BB so you should be able to keep your current one.

anyhow it's a 46t single ring
