Hello,

So you've signed-up, got your user account, now all you need to do is get posting .... ah, um, er, What do I say?

Well, it's dead easy - just say Hello and tell us a little bit about yourself and whereabouts you're from (so we can invite you along to rides!!)

Believe me, once you get that first post under your belt you'll be off!

My name's Shaun by the way, and I own and operate CycleChat.

If you need any help or advice on using the forums, or want to ask a question but don't want to do it publicly - just send me a PM (private message).

Hope you enjoy, and welcome to CycleChat

Cheers,
Shaun

Hi All,

Donald here,

just started this account today, and saying hello. me and my missus sarah are quite into our touring, and this looks like a good place to meet like minded people.

Just done a fair bit of biking last week, when we were down in the Peak District.

Looking to go from Rannoch Station through Spean Bridge, linking on to Great Glen Route to Inverness at the end of the month, cant wait.

Hello to everyone

I'm Sithicus, currently from Llandudno. I haven't cycled for quite a few years due to severe case of lack of time (uni/job/family/kid) but finally I've found the will and the time. At the moment I've got a Marin MTB (borrowed by a friend to get my ass moving) but I'm going to buy my own in next week or so - so I've came here looking for sage advice ;)

Just browsing, next thing I'm doing a first post.

Off to a "flyer" for me. Just completed the Way of the Roses (01/04/2011), next The Salmon Run 19-21/04/2011, then Cape Wrath to York starting 03/05/2011. Yep! I'm retired, not hanging around for mates to take grandkids to school, so most trips are solo - easy come easy go.

Happy cycling everybody.

Hi everyone
I'm Sascha from Deptford (SE8) and i'm not a bird ( only saying it, because in correspondence I'm normally addressed as Ms or Mrs, lol ), I'm actually 6'2" (1.87m) and weight about 17 stone (107Kg), I love cycling and don't have a car or even driving licence!

Hi all - bikeblob here, I live near Edinburgh, use bike for commuting, shopping, leisure and general purposes. Cycle every day but usually not far! I take a great interest in offroad and quiet routes as I am the mother of 2 cycling sprogs. I am about to post on the Touring forum to try and tap in to local knowledge around Alnwick. And lurk around other forums to see if i can add anything. Wish me luck!

Hi Old Fossil

Have been to Az & the US a few times but never cycled there. Last year ended up in Oatman Az at a shoot out, headed off back to Laughlin Nv quick. There doesn't seem to be an easy way of getting bikes across there so maybe hiring one is an option? Is Peggy Sue's Diner and Calico Ghost Town in Az? I hope to cycle there one day. I've motored Route 66 from Kingman to Seligman which also looks great for cycling and I'm a member of Adventure Cycling, Missoula, Montana who offer loads of juicy looking cycle routes in the US.

I'll keep working at it.

Hello from the high desert of Arizona: It's starting to warm up and everything is in bloom (AhhhChooo).
I notice that a lot of CC's Membership is in Europe. Come visit us and see the west end of the Grand Canyon, lots of offroad trails.
Long stretches of paved highway, every thing out here is a long way away from every where else. We have Ghost towns
to see, old mines and a lot of history of the old west. Las Vegas NV to the north and Kingman AZ to the south. Definitely some
place different.

Hello to everyone!

Joined to seek some advice (see my thread shortly), but also as thought it would be a good base for ongoing help, advice, information and just a bit of fun.

I live in SE London as a Bar Manager and thus time is limited to exercise thus thought a MTB bike would be the perfect way to lose some weight and get a bit fitter!

Hi.

Joined after viewing the board for several weeks. Members all seem to be decent, sensible people so I thought I would join. Specifically, I'm about to get a third bike to join my Marin Point Reyes and Brompton and will be seeking advice on said purchase.
