In the next few day I'm going to build up a new bike - very optimistically against my better judgement (is that an oxymoron) i'm going to fit a hollowtech chainset with a Hope Stainless BB - Over the years I've fitted and maintained old school, cassette and Octolink I BBs but I have no experience of outboard bearing BBs
- I assume that if I have bought the right size BB then the chainline will be automatically taken care of?
- What tools do I need for fitting the Hope BB - I have a Hope BB spanner - what else just for fitting?
- I'm not expecting to maintain it on tour - is that a bit optimistic for a couple of thousand miles?
- Any other observations will be welcome
