Long day today, but I did manage the fifth ride of my Lunacy Challenge. It was a beautiful morning and evening...

Work completed at the home office today as I usually do on Thursdays and Fridays. It seems that those of us who had been working from home full time for years will be allowed to return to working from home full time after all. So a good result and good job we grouped together and asked. Our contracts need to be re-worked first.

I just like the peace and quiet of being at home and not having to waste time going to the office allows me to make better use of my time. I walk to work so it doesn't cost me anything apart from time but others have long car commutes.

I escaped to my favourite beach this evening to watch the sun set :becool:

It's been a beautiful, warm and sunny day here chez Casa Reynard.

Slept really well, and had a bit of a lie in. Spent the morning doing all those little choresy bits. This included re-jigging my fruit & vegetable stores. I needed to fill up the fruit bowls in the house, so in went the last of the Lord Burghley apples. I am down to my last two trays of apples, one of Barnack Beauty (dessert) and one of Murfitt's Seedling (culinary). Discovered a Seville orange and a couple of tangerines that are looking a bit tired, so those will be diverted into a jar of marmalade.

I also had one Seville orange that was unredeemable, so I'm having a bit of fun with it. Removed the mouldy bits, and have stuck the remainder into a pot of compost. I've always wanted to give growing an orange tree from seed, so now's my chance.

Had a lovely luncheon of two slices of toast, one with the last of the roast beef, one with some brie, plus a pear, a very lovely Lane Late orange and two :cuppa:

Spent the whole afternoon in the garden doing some lumberjilling - not firewood for immediate use, but trimming back trees that have branches that get in the way of things. I still have some small stuff to cut up and dispose of, but I stacked a whole trailer load of logs along the fence that is my log store - a mix of mulberry, ash and bullace. I still have some a few more trees to deal with, but that lot os for another day. It was too warm to wear a beanie hat, so I now have sawdust in my hair and in my ears!

Equally fabby supper of soup, then creamy mushroom & smoked bacon pasta with a nice salad (spinach, lettuce, baby plum tomatoes) on the side. There is a HCB with my name on for later.

Just finished a very healthy interesting salad for tea, four days running - ! ^_^
Away the morn to Wymondham to complete my funeral plan. As Wymondham is where I worked for about ten years, I shall of course be cycling the twelve miles - ! :okay:
With a stiff easterly wind expected again, I'll dare say I'll be getting there a lot faster than the return journey - !

I went through Wymondham today
