I can run fast.
Suppose they grab a bike, then go after you?

Why do "quiet days" end up being busier than "busy days"

Ended up just having soup and a toastie for supper.

Seems 1-1 was the "score du jour" in the footy, five of today's matches finished with that scoreline. Ours shouldn't have done, the Brentford equalizer was offside. I thought VAR was supposed to put a stop to all this crap...

I've just pulled a panettone from the oven. Smells fabby.

My Skoda has almost drove me to this on more than a few occasions. I sort of inherited it and didn't want to appear rude and ungrateful by turning around and selling it almost immediately but it has cost me a fortune to maintain and I find it horrible to drive, ugly to look at, it drinks petrol, and somehow has less bootspace than my 205 despite being considerably bigger on the outside.

Once I get year's test on it I am tempted to get shot of it and buy a Honda Jazz but I drive so little these day it would do if it behaved itself and I could put the money towards restoring my beloved 205. Each time I fix it I tell myself surely nothing else can go wrong....

Is it a Fabia ?
If it is we looked at buying one years ago . We ended up buying a Vauxhall Corsa which we had for 17 years .

Yes, a Fabia with a horrible 3 cylinder engine which seems to suffer from turbo lag despite not having a turbo. You made the right choice with the Corsa I think.

My 62 plate Corsa ecoflex had a 3 cylinder 998cc engine. It was less economical than the 53 plate Punto 1200 that it replaced. I was not unhappy when someone wrote it off!

My Skoda definitely isn't economical. I think it just underpowered for the car and has to be worked too hard and it is hampered by poorly chosen gear ratios.

We went round the garages to see what was on offer. We looked at a Toyota Yaris, Skoda Flabia , and a Vauxhall Corsa. We didn't like the small park bench rear seat in the Yaris. We didn't like bouncing off the rock hard seats in the Skoda . We went back to the Corsa and chose an Easytronic version sort of like auto / flappy gear lever thingy. It worked out cheaper on tax due to emissions. We took it to Normandy and it was my wife's car for all the years we had it . It was nice and sporty and quite economical .
Oh! Forgot to mention that the garage tried to pull a fast one . When we first went to pick it up we discovered that it was a previous model . We told them either get what we ordered or the deal is off! A week later our car arrived , alloy wheels and bucket seats . The seats really improved the ride, slightly gripping you at the sides .
