What often happens with our weather is almost predictable. If the day starts off good it turns to rain later and if the morning looks dire then turns out nice later.
I first noticed this many years ago when I was a postie.
Often got my morning delivery done in sunshine but by 9 o’clock rain started and if starting wet became good later.
( I was lucky as I had a post office bike so got cycling as well and got paid for it).
Calmac are having a total power outage as they put it next Sunday at the Craignure office. Tickets will have to be issued by hand and paid for in cash only.
Seems a bit strange but few vehicles travel now without prebooking for which you pay at the time of booking but foot passengers usually just turn up and get a ticket at the office.
Could get caught out if not carrying cash as probably lots of people do nowadays. I rarely use cash now as nearly everything is paid by card.
At least they give warning but only to those on the text message system or FB. The jungle drums probably alert the rest and just as fast. One comment is that they are a quicker means of spreading gossip or rumours than the phone system tho’ in the days of an exchange with manual operators that was debatable.

Are they like Ayers Rock?

My daughter has a red one. There's a passing resemblance.

@Speicher we have a blood pressure monitor from Lidl which is working fine.

I picked out a dozen good prints at the studio this morning and then went to the framing shop this afternoon to look at options for getting them ready to show. Now I need to pick out the first three or four to be done. By “now” I mean tomorrow. I went swimming tonight and all I really want to do now is eat Hebe Jnr’s chocolate.

I think I will purchase a Blood Pressure Monitor. I have just spoken to someone who needs to monitor their blood pressure for four days every three months or thereabouts.

If you do like others have said Omron are one to go for. Just read the info they come with as all of them tend to get a bit mardy at the least little thing. You soon get use to using them right and keeping them happy.
