Had a lovely luncheon of the last of the melton mowbray pork pie, a beef & stilton sandwich, an apple, a banana and two :cuppa:

Then went out and de-dangled both the oak tree and large ash branch that I ran out of time / daylight to do the other day. No wonder they both got tangled up in their neighbouring dendrites, they were long. Like really long. Pulling them free was a bit like that magician's trick where he or she pulls this whole string of knotted handkerchiefs out of their sleeve.

Cut the wood up into manageable sections and stacked it in a pile, ready to haul in tomorrow.

Now sat down with a :cuppa: and a biskit.

Damp day but not really raining so just did some garden tidying and now knackered.
Cut down the Jerusalem artichoke stalks and just piled them up. I used to burn them when they were dry but that patch is part of my wildflower bit now so they will just get piled up parallel to the fence and left to decay eventually.
Brambles are a menace and some stalks are at least 12ft long and they spread underground so have to get cut back regularly. Wild raspberries are also spreading.
In a sheltered spot daffodils are getting quite big but my snowdrops are a bit slow this year tho’ there are a very few flowering beside my front path. Don’t seem to be very many as there were usually a lot in that border.
Daffodils and bluebells are getting a little bigger but still a long way to go.

Pleasant pedal around Pitsford Res today.. Seemed rude to not have an ice cream 🍦

The BBC's website forecast only goes up to 5 Feb but no sign of either beast from the east or squirrel from the Wirral.

Weather forecasts are only really accurate for a couple of days ahead. Any remaining accuracy (aka guesstimates) tends to go *fzzzzt* after about five days. Then, you're reliant on computer modelling, and of course that depends on a) the software and b) what variables you're actually throwing at it.

Looks tasty... But it's WAYYYYYYYYY too cold for that...

Hot choccy topped with whipped cream and marshmallows is MUCH more appropriate.

A lot of human brain power and a hell of a lot of calculations go in too, much of it being my life long school mate.
Who works on the rain radar we did our A-level Physics together and can tell you he is a walking brain.
