Managed an early 20 km wander. Beat the rain home by minutes.
Then I find I'm (volunteered) catering for Youff tonight at 1800. But I've got tickets for a 1730 concert thing.
And nothing prepared.

Tense period between the management and I over my diary being hijacked.
Chilly sort of time.

Triumph of the evening is just finishing fixing the printer.
Mysterious error message googled.
Jammed paper removed, I thought. Reboot and so on. Still not working.
Epson customer service was not helpful and dire!

Eventually with tweezers and my endoscope thing located a fragment of paper squished in the workings.

Success, tempered by the age it took to clean and reset the printer.

Finally bed.

The cloud has cleared and it is bright and sunny. A bit chilly out.
Yesterday I found a dead Greenfinch at our bird feeder. It was sad to find it there.

I know I've not been to Nottingham for a few months, but is today a special night for NTU students (as a guess as I'm in that area) as there's a lot of under dressed and over refreshed youngsters staggering around town?

Student night out in Nottingham. It's the same on a Thursday night in Leeds - and I've a Friday 9am seminar with my students. Some come to it on their way back to bed!

More than once I've had to ask a student to put some more clothes on as they were inappropriately dressed.

Good morning from a 3rd floor hotel room in Nottingham. It's a lovely sunny morning here, only spoiled by the view which is of the hotels, car parks and traffic along the A6008 Maid Marian Way.

Coffee has been had but no breakfast yet - like yesterday I'll be having lunch at my next destination, so I plan on grabbing a sandwich and having a little walk along the Nottingham Canal before getting on the train.

So Cassie started limping on her walk this morning, cut the walk short & went to the vets. Vet couldn't find anything so possible xray tomorrow although it doesn't seem broken. And we're 'sposed to have a weekend away with madam being looked after by kennel!

Follow up appointment, with no food since last night in case she needed anesthetic for an xray. But examination concluded no broken bones, just an infection, so more pills. She managed to get some more fans, of course.

Full of man flu now. Couldn't sleep all night as I was hot then cold .
If I was not under the eye of hr at work I would have took the day off as I feel crap.tried to get tomorrow as a holiday but it was declined

Surprised at that you can open Excel files between newer and older versions provided you haven’t saved in one if the very latest file formats.

The new Excel should open the old files, but may will want to update them. Of course, if you have the latest version, it's an online subscription that you can't use offline.
