WE are experiencing the joy of the new computer system. Today I had to make a table on Excel. Except that the new system is fussy who itlets into office and it didn't like me. So I had to use one of the old computers we keep for this purpose.

Made table with minimal drama, then tried to print. Elderly printer didn't want to. Opened and closed elderly printer to no avail.

New printer worked but it won't connect to old computers. Get USB Stick: we all have a USB stick now and store everything on it, because anything stored in "The Cloud" vanishes and required half an hour to find.

Realise this won't work because table is in "old Excel" and this won't work with new computer that is connected to printer.

Take USB directly to printer. Printer refuses to print from stick.

Resolve problem by making a PDF from excel, putting PDF on stick, carry stick to new computer, upload PDF, print on new printer.

Welcome to the great new information age...

I had fun Monday with the pet insurance webpage. I took over from my wife because she was getting stressed. The website didn't like the email she had used, so wouldn't send us the one time code to get in. Since I couldn't get in I had to enlist the help of their helpdesk (twice). I eventually managed to get in with them giving a new password & one time code over the phone & fill in the claim form & change email. Eventually I received the code, about an hour later. Then this morning I receive a response to an email I sent to say they'd change my password & I should change it to a more secure one. Thankfully this time the code arrived in 5 minutes.

I will say, I've been on both sides, and in the middle, so I do understand.

I have bought myself a new keyboard. The M N L and A keys had worn off. Oh, and they'd all become a bit sticky after I dropped a bowl of ice cream onto the keyboard whilst consoling my injury over the new year.

Does that give us a clue to your password?

Yesterday's job of re-cabling the CX has been finished this afternoon. Bar tape wound on & tweaks to brakes tweaked..
Tomorrow I'll get the chance of a test ride!
