It's been a very cold, soggy and squelchy day here chez Casa Reynard. The rain finally cleared off just over 3 hours ago.

Did not sleep terribly well. Hey ho. Met up with a friend for our weekly dog walk, but we gave it up for a bad job after just a few hundred yards. As it was, we both got, as @tyred puts it, absolutely drookit. It was a sybaritic delight to put dry clothes on when I got home.

Had a lovely luncheon of sourdough toast, corned beef, abondances cheese, fruit and a :cuppa:

Chores had been postponed until I could go outside without getting drenched. Firewood topped up in the house, fridge in the kitchen re-stocked with bits from the utility room, the garage floor swept from all of the dirt and wood chippings resulting from splitting logs, and the resulting sweepings dumped in the green bin.

Needed to find the galoshes in order to put the green bin out for emptying, as there is a two inch deep lake under the gate that I had to wade through. No black bag this week, still not enough in it to bother.

I have cooked and eaten a vegetable lasagne. It's based on a Delia Smith recipe. It's rather good even if I do say so myself. :hungry:

As long as I breathe, I attack.
half a shift at work as mini ck 1 had a hospital appointment so i went in the car which suited me as i am in manflu green snot and cough mode. Got home at 11 am and had a sarnie then a nap as i feel tired all the time too atm then took mini ck 1 and mrs ck to the hospital whilst i drove back to pick up mini ck 2 from school , back to the hospital where it was a costa while we waited.
By the time we got home it was getting on for 6 pm so it was decided a trip to mcdonalds was in order as we were hungry and as i am on early shift bedtime is 8 pm .
Im now dosed up and feeling reasonable so i am debating whether to go to work on the bike tomorrow .
Had a date at last for the car from work at last  although its 6 weeks away yet .

The person who just bought the weird looking bike may have looked like me, but there's no guarantee it was actually me  :okay:

Another day of strange and very changeable weather but I managed to make it to work and back without getting wet. My last day in the office this week anyway.

A more productive day at work today as everything is working again. Also had my annual review and my now ex-manager left a very positive review and I've got a much better than expected pay rise. We should know the identity of our new manager in about four weeks, according to our temporary one.

The boyracers are making noise again.

Office day and the normal lunchtime trek to Asda. Got up 10 minutes earlier expecting traffic chaos with the A61 closure but was earlier enough miss the gridlock later arrivers reported.
First ever on line grocery order placed as my source of brown bread flour from Ocardo seems to have ceased so a case of DIY. A careful search for other items scarce or cheap.

Yet another fantastic night of music thanks to Holiday Ghosts and The Bug Club - neither fails to put on an excellent show.

I know I've not been to Nottingham for a few months, but is today a special night for NTU students (as a guess as I'm in that area) as there's a lot of under dressed and over refreshed youngsters staggering around town?
