Wonderful.
A skill set, sadly not so recognised or appreciated in the UK.
Jealous of the Japanese.

It's not all it's cracked up to be: the English standard in Japan is very low; Beautiful Daughter just happens to live in a multiracial family in a third country.

Also, Japan has a terrifyingly high levels of suicide and alcohol use; there are reasons for this.

Good morning from a 1st floor hotel room in sunny Brighton. Today's view is of the same office block as last weekend.

The usual overly large cooked breakfast has been had, but no real time for a rest as I'm on a fairly early (for me) train out of here.

Heading homeward which is a pity as today would have been an ideal morning for a decent stroll along Brighton seafront - all the other times I've been there it's been wet and miserable.

I'm on the upward curve from a bout of lurgy: there's a cold/flu virus going around, and it caught me on Saturday, so don't come too close.

That's what I had last week and this morning seems to be the first day clear of it after 7 days of coughing, sneezing and a free flowing runny nose.

Silver & grey bin out, must check to see if either has been emptied yet. Can't let next door bring them in again!

Cassie's out with my daughter & family, so considering a walk into town. I've not been into town for some weeks, likewise the dog hasn't had long walks, because my hip has been painful. Curiously, climbing stairs seems to help.
