First load of washing is on the whirlygig to dry in the sunshine, so might as well get the towels washed as they can go on the clothes horse later.

Bit hard as they are not earning, I also had to feed both kids so with fuel and food £50 round trip and everyone else in the family thinks I'm overacting cus I wasn't happy

@cyberknight - if they'd asked before-hand, and got agreement that you'd cover the collection cost, then I'd agree with you.

If they hadn't then no, I wouldn't be covering the cost. I'd be asking them how they intended getting the item - and letting them take the initiative.

Otherwise it re-inforces the belief you'll pay for everything.

Popped in Lidl for some cakes and pastries. Came out with a new hoover

Two walks one to church 35 mins and one back 40 mins.Now i am knackered.here i was thinking i had built up some stamina.but this year i am going to try and ride.

Crept up to 8 so the ebike extracted from the bike shed and its tyres pumped up. Battery had only lost a fifth during the freezing weather and had more than enough for a ride to Lidl.
My surprise purchase was a tin of Baxters Chicken Broth for £1.25 and dated Oct 2026.
They however had no dark chocolate rice cakes.
Varied my normal return route to avoid a set of 4 way TTLs only to find they had moved them, presumably yesterday or this morning, to the junction I was now using. Shanks's pony around them.

Lovely frosty walk & ride around Delapre Abbey & park this morning followed by lunch, check all the levels in the cars, then clean the Brommie as it was mucky around the parkland paths.

Cassie used to eat them like treats, then the vets changed the type & now they need to be crushed in her food.

Quite easy when cycling and avoiding any bulky purchase

A lovely day today but haven't really taken advantage of it. Woke up with a dodgy tummy, headache and lethargy. Not sure what caused it as I'm usually pretty bulletproof!

I am feeling a lot better now but still not much energy.
