Now sitting on the train continuing the warming up process after 3 hours out in Norfolk's finest chilly and overcast conditions. Got it wrong earlier as I should have said that I was going to the east of the city, not the west. Still had time for a quick pint of Ghost Ship by the river before heading to the rail station.

A grey and decidedly chilly day here chez Casa Reynard.

Sleep was middling. Morning was spent doing a bunch of chores and ironing my white coat so that it's ready for tomorrow - I am stewarding at a cat show in St Neots. I also found the sock that the parental was insisting still must be in the washing machine in my undercracker drawer. Her socks, not mine, as my socks have a tendency towards pinkness. I knew I hung up the pair on the clothes horse the other day, but the parental was the one who put the laundry away... Ah well, at least I'll no longer get my ears bashed over said missing sock!

Had a quick luncheon of black forest ham on toast, some fruit and a :cuppa: before restocking the house with firewood to last till the end of the weekend. I had intended sawing up some logs this afternoon, but my get-up-and-go has gotten up and buggered off. So I've sat by the fire and done some writing instead. The logs can wait till Sunday.

Out for 1.5 hours cycling today. Temps are dropping again but still above zero (just)

Another nice day here, although a bit on the breezy side.

My usual half day on a Friday, at least they haven't taken away our flexible working hours yet. Yet more confusion as we can't use the seats we have been allocated in the office as they've been allocated to another new team so we will be still in the training room until further notice. I sometimes wonder where we find out management from!

They must be graduates from the BL school of Management.

A nice thirty miles on my first geared ride of 2025. Loads of people out walking on the minor roads and I met a singular cyclist as well.

Now time to put on my Friday pie and chips.

Afternoon trek to the Co-op and still ice on the path. Carefully stepped onto the non slippy bits until retreating to the grass. Obviously had not been many people using it as a grey squirrel seemed relatively oblivious to my presence avoiding two trees it could have shot up for a third some what distant.
Discovered taping the cables was not such a good idea as the kitchen tv was having picture break up.
