Good morning from a grey, overcast and distinctly chilly Suffolk. Coffee has just been had and a bowl of porridge will shortly be nuked for breakfast.

It's just over an hour until me and the bike are off to Norwich by train for a bit of a ride around in the countryside to the west of the city.

Now you tell me.  Wasn’t my fault it was Mrs p and her sister. After that me and Alan were dragged into Cadwaladers I ice cream parlour I relented reluctantly and had a delicious slice of Carrot cake.I usually have a tub of their scrumptious ice cream.Best ice cream.in the country

First time I had their ice cream was at their shop in criceth in North Wales many year’s ago

Need to try Snugbury’s at Nantwich too. Important research 😉

Unfortunately we live fifty miles away from Stoke Mrs p is a Stoke MrsP sister and her husband live in Stoke and we visit once a month I have been to Nantwich when we’re holidaying on a narrow boat. From what I remember it was an interesting town to visit I like Stoke and the surrounding area Witherspoons in stone is visited frequently

Have a new box on lounge wall with three lights on it, two green but the middle one is red. When it goes green full fibre will have arrived.
For some reason my wifi extender, only necessary to use for the Roku that is upstairs decided it would not connect with the new router despite the wi-fi name and password being unchanged. Tried last night the push button method but it failed to connect then tried TP links mobile app method which eaually failed. Cabled to the laptop it finally connected.

A very happy birthday to you for today.

Edit - does that 'Cuthbert' box say "Serves 12"?
In what world is that 12 portions?

And for mid morning snack

I dont like the chap but Trump does have a point! Like America we used to make loads of things. We hardly make anything now and import most of it .

My colleague had to build her bike from scratch for her master's qualification and she decided to source everything as locally as possible. Remarkably she managed it: Rohloff hubs, Magura Brakes, and even the Son dynamo and lights are made here in Tübingen. It amazes me how much local industry is here, even in small towns.

Fully fibre-ised. Then ages spent putting the TV etc cabling back as all wired connections are in the same corner of the room. Wrapped some connections in black in black insulation tape which do not need to be undone to move the TV but tend to come undone. Puzzled as to the lack of Freeview until I realised I had put the aerial in cable into an output of them aerial splitter.
