My alarm is set for 02:50 for the next two days 😢

It's been a murky and raw day here chez Casa Reynard.

Slept well. Went to town this morning. Decided not to take the Mirvaine to the watchmaker to get the bracelet resized. Wasn't in the mood to hang around waiting, and it's not like I've not got any other watches LOL!

The primary task of today's trip was accomplished - the acquisition of two and a half kilos of seville oranges. I bought them on the market at 75p / lb, which is a *very* good price for such. (Waitrose is £2.79 per kilo). Also picked up some bananas on the market, and some worcestershire sauce crisps that are a friend's favourite - those will so nicely for our trip to a cat show on Saturday. Friend drives, I supply the snacky stuff.

I was home far quicker than anticipated as the above meant that I didn't have to negotiate the crowds in Waitrose and B&M.

Lovely luncheon of toast, the last of the coronation chicken, smoked salmon mousse, fruit and a :cuppa: and then did some laundry, restocked the house with firewood and had a nice girly pamper session.

Now sat by the fire with another :cuppa:

Happy Birthday @biggs682.

No fog here today but the sunny day had its normal side effect of making driving this afternoon; that touch awkward heading south or west. There was a van on its side midway to Ripon, maybe not ice but taking the corner too quickly.

The car had an expensive fill of petrol as its slightly cheaper their currently and some fabric glue found. A coat inside pocket hopefully now on the mend.

Inspection by the surgeon today of my hernia. Transpires it isn't a spigelian hernia but an inguinal hernia - ! ^_^
Anyway, operation booked; anytime in the next six months unless there's a cancellation. Not causing major issues as I'm being 'careful' :laugh:with my management of it. :okay:
Only issue is that the operation hospital is in Suffolk and we live in Norfolk and I 'have to be accompanied by a responsible adult into & from the hospital' and I can't drive either way. As the GLW doesn't drive, will have to plan that one - !
