DCLane

Found in the Yorkshire hills ...
Back to the hospital again this morning. Hopefully my injury is getting better as there were a few concerned faces on Tuesday. The bash I'd had on it hadn't helped so I've been extra careful and they put a guard over it.

A pale sunrise over.lots of frozen snow and ice on my hill outside Dewsbury. It was -10 at 5am.

Update: positive progress so far. X-ray and back Monday.

Arrived at the office without any unplanned pavement interactions.

Some snow overnight but despite all the weather warnings for very low temperatures, it appears to be thawing.

My leg is a bit stiff. I put a large plaster over my knee in case my trousers irritate it but I suspect it won't stay on. They don't make plasters like they used to.

I'm the only one here as usual but a few others will likely turn up a bit later.

Another day of work while not really knowing what I'm doing completed.

I fell on ice on my way home and managed to rip my jeans and skin my knee.:cursing: I've it and applied Sudocream as I didn't really have anything else.

My two-week old jeans will be relegated to fixing car/bike/tractor duties by the looks of it.

Or else I join the trendies and have a hole in my jeans...

I suppose this is one of the ways you save money by walking to work. When it goes wrong, a new pair of jeans costs less than retrieving your SUV from the hedge!
You could rip the other leg to match and flog them on eBay etc as ripped jeans at a highly inflated price.

Good morning from Suffolk where the early morning cloud has disappeared and there's clear skies & bright sunshine. Even better there's no frost and the roads look to be drying.

Coffee has been had and I'll shortly be heading out for some shopping for travel snacks ahead of tomorrow's day away plus some other bits for home. Due to the weight & bulk of what I'm getting, the ebike & panniers will be needed, then it's back onto a normal bike to enjoy the fresh air & sunshine.

I got halfway to the dentist yesterday (15 min walk) & then called the wife to drive me the rest of the way. I'm just too nervous about falling on ice these days.
