Boyracers are making noise again.

Where can one buy one of those chains that can be pulled across the road to shred tyres? Asking for a friend.
You mean something like these?

Another day of work while not really knowing what I'm doing completed.

I fell on ice on my way home and managed to rip my jeans and skin my knee.:cursing: I've it and applied Sudocream as I didn't really have anything else.

My two-week old jeans will be relegated to fixing car/bike/tractor duties by the looks of it.

Or else I join the trendies and have a hole in my jeans...

I suppose this is one of the ways you save money by walking to work. When it goes wrong, a new pair of jeans costs less than retrieving your SUV from the hedge!

Can't you patch the jeans from the inside with an old piece of denim or similar?

I always keep a pair of knackered jeans to cut up for patches, as it's always the inside leg that wears through. Shame you're so far away, else I'd patch them for you.

I can definitely patch them (although probably not as neatly as you would do) but I don't think it would look right to wear them to the office. Smart casual, whatever that means.

Space has been made in the recycling bin so I can get more than a couple of plastic milk bottles in there, even after adding yet more cardboard.
As for Sh1tty Fibre - they didn't turn up untl late afternoon and left the pavement intact - instead we have a new telegraph pole randomly placed in the grass triangle area very close to the utlilty access cover to the right of the street light. Can't remember which utility the cover is for, but I hope it's not water given the way they drilled in without too much checking

When I was a kid, my mum used to patch my jeans, cheapo ones from Tesco's, Delawear was the brand name, by cutting one of the back pockets off and using that to patch the knees.
Times were hard.😁

Yup. I remember that too.

Whereas in the 80s, it was trendy to patch them from the inside with funky floral fabrics and not darn the hole so that the fabric showed through. Well, it was the trend for us girls, that is.

Oh, an today's funny story. Our trainer couldn't get the driver's door of his car open so got in through the back door and drove to work. The front doors still wouldn't open and because the child locks were on, he couldn't get out of the back either and the windows wouldn't wind down.

I may be wrong but I make the assumption here that he didn't bother defrosting the car or else the doors and windows should have opened and the he is probably one of these idiots that drive about with windows covered in ice.

Erm? Class one pirrock!
