Morning.
We are up North again. We seem to have escaped from the gloomy grey of Dan Sarf! By the time we had got to Leicester we were in bright sunshine. There wasn't too much traffic on the Fosseway and it was moving quite fast. There weren't as many roadworks as last time which also helped.

I met only two other hardy souls who had ventured out to brave the wind and rain.

I see have another Oban tour bus outside the hotel in the Main Street. They must have come here to get better weather for Hogmanay!

Good morning from Suffolk where the cloud cover has returned, but the wind's still not too bad. Coffee has been had after a very good night's sleep.

I've got to go up towards Ipswich before the wind picks up for a click & collect order and will get some milk while out and that's it for the day, so I may take a stroll into Felixstowe in the afternoon for a free hot chocolate courtesy of Octopus.

Hospital visit done and the hand sling has been reduced to a big finger bandage.

I'm not able to drive yet but have been cleared to ride the smart turbo. Her comment was about keeping the finger elevated. Mine was about whether a high heart rate would be OK with a post-operative body part.

Definitely blustery. One moment its calm the next I'm thinking I'm glad I didn't use the bike. Sainsbury's again, still no mackeral but mince pies further reduced.
Run out of stollen slices to have with a coffee so one of those weirdly concocted items, an orange and almond mincemeat slice. Might have been better with a touch less of the orange flavouring.

Building society called surprised that the person I spoke to yesterday wasn't in today so yet another person is going to look at it and get back to me later today ...... Or not

Little bit breezy out there and the Halfords click & collect was done by bike. No milk as the backpack was filled by a big box of Weetabix from the Food Warehouse next door, so I'll get that when I go out for the walk in the next half hour.
