A very mixed day with some bright sunshine and heavy showers of slushy hail so pretty cold feeling outside.
Got some of my meds from the chemist who are inundated with orders due to the upcoming couple of days off.
You would imagine the world is ending the way people behave.
The coop is going to be closed for one whole day so nobody is likely to starve due to lack of food.
Scandalous that they are even going to be open on New Years Day which has always been the main holiday in Scotland but now the orders and even what is stocked comes from Manchester.
That could lead me on to a political thread which goes back to the takover of the SCWS but better not go there.

Pleasant cycling conditions at lunchtime, may have only been 4 or 5 but the wind was largely absent despite the forecast 30mph+ gusts. Ebike went to Sainsbury's. Had stocked up on cheap milk earlier in the week so just went for one bottle dated later (31 Jan).

It's been a bright, sunny day here chez Casa Reynard, albeit with a vicious wind chill.

Did not sleep well. Not great when your dreams and libido get kind of tangled up. Whoops!

Chores all done early today, as I had to take the parental unit to the quack for a regular check-up. Given how busy they were, that somehow managed to vacuum up the bulk of the afternoon. Later, I dropped off some bread pudding for a friend, as it's one of her favourite things. And I've also taken the Xmas decs off the loft, and will be doing the tree and a few other bits later this evening.

Other than delivering three cards in the local environs tomorrow (an excuse for a bicycular bimble), that's all of the pre-Christmas running around done. Other than a bit of cooking (smoked salmon mousse, cranberry sauce, beetroot soup and some bread rolls), I can now a) chill, b) saw logs for firewood and c) go yellow stickering.

I appear to have lost my staff card this afternoon somewhere between two rooms. The result is I can't get into the university until the New Year when they have to print me another one. Oh dear ...

More annoyingly there was also £7 on a university loyalty card that was lost with it.

stalk the cafeteria for anyone getting a free coffee

When my Dad was in the REME he and others in his billet made a chestnut roster. It proved quite popular with the rest of the camp.
