Pressies have been wrapped and parcels have been parceled. Just need to stick some stamps on things.

Only four more gifts left to source, all to go into the same box: a piece of nice cheese for a human, a packet of pigs ears for a dog who is rather fond of them, a large box of treats for a lovely clowder of cats and a big savoy cabbage for two sheep. Ah, sorry, self-propelled lawnmowers.

My mates heritage sheep are quite fond of coco pops.

Found in the Yorkshire hills ...
I went out for a lunch-time ride, ostensibly for lunch, and to get a few Turf zones. There was a click-click-click each wheel rotation and - upon checking - a chunk of the front cyclo-cross tyre was hanging off with a bulge. Only I was part-way out at about the 10km point of 35km and wanted to keep going for a bit. Plus have lunch just in case something happened and I had a long walk home, or had to patch it.

Cue a steady ride avoiding bumps and kerbs and I made it back home. After lunch was had of course.

The list of jobs needing to be done on the Merida Cyclo-Cross is growing. It now needs:

- Front tyre
- Chain
- Bottom bracket out and checked, possibly replaced due to last week's soggy commute.
- Brake pads
- Inner and outer cables
- Bar tape

Given it's done 3540km/ 2200 miles it's probably due a decent service anyway, with only tyres and chains needing to be changed to date.
