Cold day but for once it's dry so all good, gym down and early morning call into town down. Just need to nip out for a few things then wait for the shopping to arrive. Luckily text came early with the hour slot so wont have to wait around too long. Mrs 73 has just gone out with her parcels to post and enough Christmas cards to pay off the national debt of small country.

That's the food shop delivered and put away, the freezer is now looking a bit short on space. It's going to need a bit of moving round and repacking some stuff out of the boxers and into bags. I've some more baking to fit in and the bread for over Christmas to fit in. Should be doable with a bit of thought and runing down none Christmas food.

Recycling wheelie bin was checked, confirmed as having been emptied and returned to its normal position round the back of the house.

Since then it's continued to be overcast, cold, windy and occasionally drizzly - mostly while I was out on the two shopping trips. The second mug of coffee and a hot shower were most welcome when I got home late afternoon. Another 400 coffee filter papers have been ordered as I'm well into the last half of the last pack of 100 I had in the house.

Time to stick some sausages into the air fryer and butter some rolls for tea.

Still dry outside but sky clouded over by early afternoon so given the still freezing conditions it may well snow.
I do not dream of a white Christmas which would be more like a nightmare.
Managed to keep busy indoors and got as far as the bins to dump the mainly recycling waste. This will probably have to go kerbside by next Monday.
I think I will have to move the two main bins to the front of the house as the council will collect them from there if I admit to a problem getting them out on to the street. I prefer them behind the house but no sense in having unnecessary problems for the bin men.

Evening.
Our new TV arrived at 11. 50 this morning. It then took what seemed like ages to set it up with passwords for different things. My wife did the setting up. I would have lost patience and launched it!
We need to watch some really detailed pictures to see the difference between the new TV and our old LG TV. In normal mode I think our or one was better picture wise. I couldn't tell the difference between UD and normal pictures. This one there is a marked difference. The sound is a lot better though. I can hear what people are saying on the TV.
We can now watch IPlayer and the other versions available.

Morning went as planned - the stamps came from a card shop as the queue at the post office was mammoth. Added Co-Op trek once back home and, whilst I had seen next weeks TV guide in town, the use of 25p off app voucher will have to be deferred to later in the week as they only had this weeks.
The sun had come out on the return from the Co-Op but had disappeared by the time I set off on the ebike. Halfway to Knaresborough along NCN636 it did reappear and a relatively quite Waterside and the clamber up Castle Ings led to the Market Place.
Shopping done and I headed off into suburbia to deliver a Christmas Card.
Back along Waterside from the NCNs eastern end and then up the A59 hill towards Starbeck. Made a decison to visit Morrisons to make use of the Morrisons Fiver. Homewards from their roads were congested in unusual places as I had hit school kicking out time.
That was nothing compared trying to get to the hospital by car a hour and a bit late, presumably a lot of working days end at 4pm. As such I was 5 minutes late for the appointment time albeit expecting a long wait. That only turned out to be 2 minutes and I was homeward within 10.
