I can see the weather now. There are grey clouds moving east but I can also see areas of blue sky. It looks a bit windy and one of our chairs outside has fainted again.
I have to wait in this morning as our new TV is due to arrive. We eventually went for a Sony. It was confusing trying to decide but it comes with a 5 year guarantee.

Thought salsa was a dip you got with nachos.
A whole evening of salsa would really give me wind

I had a lot of salsa last night with no noticeable Darragh trouser events.

Meanwhile, I'm getting the car MOT'd and serviced. They reckon 3 hours or so. The journey back home by public transport takes about 1:30 so by the time I get back home it will be time to come back out again. So I'll make myself comfortable in this Costa Coffee while I decide what to do to pass a couple of hours.

It's is pouring and single digit temperature.
Have mid-day rendezvous for an expedition.
Do I "chicken out" and abandon or "pucker up". P.U. means finding the waterproof over trousers.
Does mean that of the 3 pairs that I have I need to discern which are the light breathable ones.
Decisions, decisions. Cup of coffee first I think.

Good morning from what until a couple of minutes ago was a bright and sunny start to the day in Suffolk. Now it's overcast & raining to add to the soggyness from yesterday and overnight. Coffee has been had and I think the recycling bin has been emptied due to the noise that woke me this morning, but it looks to have been replaced exactly where I left it so will need to check shortly.

I need to get out and get some food in for the next couple of days and also to book the flowers for my mother's birthday. Also, if the weather clears, I may start the Ch****mas voucher shopping for various parts of the family.

A bright sunny but cold day. Temperature when I eventually got up was -1.4C with no wind.
The forecast says mist but there is no sign of that.
Unless we have a thaw I cannot safely get out as the danger of slipping on black ice is too great. The actual roadway should be ok but the edges always seem to stay slippy and my garden path would be ok if I got out and sprinkled some salt around.

Oban hospital sent me an outpatient appointment for next Monday which would mean getting up at 0500 and then hanging around Oban for a couple of early morning hours and then goodness knows when I could get home as Calmac have cancelled one likely ferry and sent it to Colonsay.
The joys of island life.
Hospital phoned me back just now and the next appointment available is 31st January so accepted that on the assumption I live that long.
